Are Hidden Braces (Incognito braces) more difficult to work with than regular braces? Because the inside of your mouth is smaller than the outside, they are harder to work with.

What about treatment time? Getting pretty close, maybe a month or two longer.
Do Hidden Braces correct jaw and bite problems? Absolutely
Do they hurt…can you get sores on your tongue from all the metal on the back of your teeth? You can get some sores on your tongue, like with regular braces on your cheeks.
Can Hidden Braces have an effect on your speech? Usually for a week or so.
Can kids and teens get them? Definitely

How do Incognito Hidden Braces Work?
Similar to traditional metal braces, Incognito™ Hidden Braces are a combination of brackets and wires. However, these are completely custom-made and fit on the inside of your teeth.
The process begins with the doctor taking a precise impression of your teeth. Your doctor sends the impression to the 3M lab where, based on your doctor’s prescription, models of your mouth are made to represent the desired result — your perfect smile.
The brackets are then designed to specifically fit each one of your teeth. Based on where the brackets are placed and your doctor’s instructions, the wires are robotically bent. Everything is shipped off to your doctor so you can get your braces.
Life with Incognito Hidden Braces
We know what you’re thinking… will I be able to talk? Are they comfortable? Can I keep them clean?
Speech There will be an adjustment period with these braces because they rest near your tongue. Most people find that within two weeks, they forget the braces are there and speak just as they did before getting braces.
Comfort Since the brackets are custom-made to fit your teeth snugly, people who wear Incognito Hidden Braces find them extremely comfortable after they adjust to them. The brackets are smooth and have a low profile, meaning they sit very close to your teeth.
Hygiene is extremely important with any orthodontic treatment, and Incognito Hidden Braces are no different. An easy place to start is with an electric toothbrush. Flossing must not be forgotten! Many patients find water-based toothpicks work well and keep the mouth feeling fresh throughout treatment, especially on the tongue and around each bracket. If you use mouthwash, you can continue this with your Incognito Hidden Braces.
