What is Invisalign?

Invisalign is rising to popularity in orthodontic treatment because the treatment consists of tooth aligners that are virtually invisible and removable. The aligners are made of a type of clear plastic and are comfortable to wear because they are custom made to specifically fit the individual characteristics of your teeth. You can eat all foods without limitation and brush and floss normally, due to the fact that they can be removed. This allows you to keep your teeth and gums healthy throughout the period of treatment.

How does it work?

Aligners are changed out for new aligners every two weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush and floss. As you replace each aligner with the next in the seriesplacing aligner, your teeth move slightly into the desired position. Invisalign allows you to have less frequent office visits ranging from every 6 to 8 weeks. Total treatment time varies from case to case but typically lasts 9-15 months.
